Daniel's fundraiser for Cornwall Mind

113 Cotswold Classic V2.0 Iroman - Swim, Ride & Run · 13 July 2025
The mind is a powerful thing – arguably the most important part of who we are.
Having now lost both of my sisters – Soph in October 2020 and Katherine in February 2025 – I feel a deep need to do something that helps people who are still with us, before it’s too late.
So, despite arthritis in my ankle, a collection of old rugby injuries, a touch of gout, and the fact I’ll be 48 by then, I’m determined to take on a massive personal challenge: a Half Ironman triathlon.
That’s a 1.2 mile swim, a 56 mile bike ride, and a 13.1 mile run – all on 13th July 2025 in the Cotswolds, England. I’ll be training 4–5 times a week to get there, and every step, stroke and spin will be in aid of Mind Cornwall, a charity doing vital work to support mental health.
Thank you so much for any support you can give.
With love,
Daniel (Diddy) Dunkin x
We're Cornwall Mind and we’re here to help.
We believe no-one should have to face a mental health problem alone. Each year the demand for our services increases as more people seek support for their mental health.
Although we’re affiliated to Mind the national charity, Cornwall Mind is an independently registered and funded charity dependent on fundraising and donations, like yours, to continue our vital work in the community.
With your support, you can help us to continue our life-changing work, and for that we cannot thank you enough.
Charities pay a small fee for our service. Learn more about fees
