Story
This coming October, I'll be tackling the Cardiff Half Marathon in aide of the amazing Cardiff Foodbank.
The work they do is a vital source of support for the thousands of households facing food insecurity across Cardiff. The stats speak for themselves: https://cardiff.foodbank.org.uk/about-us/our-stats
Recent years have seen growing demand and falling donations as household budgets tighten in response to the Cost of Living crisis. The result of this is that the food bank is increasingly dependent on fundraising to keep the shelves stocked.
To make things a bit more interesting and hopefully draw as much attention to the cause as possible, I'll be running the 13.1 miles dressed as a box of cereal. My club mate, Matthew, will be the UHT milk carton so we should be easy to spot on the day!
All money collected will go towards supporting this vital community service so that no one in our local area needs to go hungry.
All donations are greatly appreciated - it could be the cost of one of your grocery shop essentials for the week. Alternatively, just a share on socials would help towards the goal.
