Story
After 11 years of trying to get a place at the iconic London Marathon, I have finally been successful in the ballot and will be running my “bucket list” race!
Even more exciting is that this presents a fantastic opportunity to raise funds for the amazing MOVE Against Cancer charity again.
MOVE made such a monumental difference to me during my cancer experience. I’m incredibly fortunate to have now finished treatment, with a year of clear scans behind me, but the support, encouragement and friendships created through MOVE continues and I am delighted to be able to support the charity
Oh, and I’ll be running dressed as a traffic cone too… obvs.
There's increasing evidence that moving more during and after cancer treatment can significantly improve physical & mental wellbeing. MOVE supports & inspires those impacted by cancer to live active, fulfilling lives. We deliver an 8 week online programme for 13-30 year olds diagnosed with cancer. Our 5k Your Way initiative, linked with parkrun, is a supportive community for anyone affected by cancer to go along to their local group & walk, jog, run, cheer or volunteer on the last Saturday of the month. We also have an online Resource Hub.
