Story
Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) is leading a movement against suicide. Every week 125 people in the UK take their own lives. And 75% of all UK suicides are male. CALM exists to change this by offering life saving services, provoking conversation and bringing people together to reject living miserably.
From advice on our site, through to free, confidential chats with our helpline staff, online or on the phone, we’re here for whoever needs us, every day. No matter what.
£8 is enough to fund one potentially life-saving call.

I have no colleagues as such (contractor), am in a new city, and everyone's social circles are smaller post-COVID. Regardless, I am aiming to raise double I did for the first time and make as much of a difference as I can.
Mental health charities are particularly close to my heart having been raised in & around a legacy of extremely poor mental health. Maintaining a positive mental mindset is an ongoing challenge for most people and pretending otherwise is daft and thoughtless, so MIND was recommended to me and is something I hope will help a few people that have perhaps also found themselves. This is something I am especially mindful of considering the dark places I've been due to abuse, homelessness, self-medicating, and having no support network, at times in the past.
The more you give the harder I will train....and the harder I will punch some poor fella just trying to raise money for a good cause.....unless he's scally doing it to impress mates, in which case we shouldn't feel sorry for him :)
