You Okay, Doc? Mount Toubkal Trek · 21 March 2025

You Okay, Doc? supports doctors' mental health and wellbeing throughout the UK. Sadly, doctors have higher rates (2-3x) of suicide than the general population and it's our mission to reduce the stigma and rates of suicide. We provide support groups, community activation and educational resources.

Story

From battling leg cramps in the first 20 minutes of the You Okay, Doc? National 3 Peaks Challenge in 2023 to now taking on Mount Toubkal (4,167m), the highest mountain in North Africa—let’s just say, I have a healthy dose of fear! 😬🏔️ ...Lets not forget, my fear of heights 😮‍💨.

Why?

This challenge is brutal (see below), and given the scale of it, we’re also aiming to raise vital funds for You Okay, Doc?—a charity close to my heart that supports doctors’ mental health and wellbeing. 💙

The Trek.

A group of us will take on the 31km trek over two days and ascend to 4,167metres...there will be snow, lots of blisters and I'm sure I'm in for more leg cramps! We may even have to use crampons...first time for everything...🫣

🥾 Trek: 31km over two days

⛰️ Altitude: Reaching 4,167 meters

💪 Trek difficulty: challenging.

Any donation big or small is hugely appreciated. All costs for the trip are covered at my own expense. So every bit really does go towards helping those that take care of us.
