Hi, my name is Daniel and this year I will be taking on Walk Oxford in support of MyVision Oxfordshire. A 10 mile walk in Oxford and the surrounding countryside. What’s making this challenge even more special, is that I will have my family walking every step with me.

MyVision has supported me since 2019. The support they have given me has played a major role in building the life me and my family live today.

I have been managing sight loss my whole life and living with sight loss has many challenges, some more challenging than others, but knowing that you have an organisation like MyVision supporting you through them all, makes the journey so much easier.

What I want to achieve from this challenge, is to create that awareness for others that might be facing those same challenges. For them to know that MyVision can support them through them all. Where they can develop the confidence, the resilience and happiness that their lives deserve. More importantly, for them to acknowledge and embrace their sight loss, understanding that it is a part of who they are.

Although creating that awareness is the main driver to me completing this challenge, raising vital funds for MyVision is just as important. These funds ensure that they can continue to do the amazing work they currently do. Knowing that I can help MyVision make that positive impact on someone else’s life, the same impact they have had on mine, brings me immense satisfaction. So please help me in achieving my target for this amazing cause by adding a small contribution. Every donation will give us that extra step towards the finish line.
