Rwanda Cycle 2025 · 31 January 2025

Our vision is to see educated and skilled young people inspired by faith, hope and love transform their communites.

Story

In February 2025, a team of 11 cyclists from Northern Ireland, will embark on a challenge across Rwanda, the land of a thousand hills! Aiming to cycle more than 350km on dirt and tarmac roads, with many hills along the route, the team are hoping that this challenge will have a lasting impact for some of the most vulnerable girls and boys and families in Rwanda.

Each team member is funding their own trip and giving up their own time to travel with Fields of Life to Rwanda to take on this cycle challenge and also visit Fields of Life partner schools.

Fields of Life seeks to transform the lives of the most vulnerable and marginalised people in East Africa through the provision of quality education, clean water, health promotion and other enterprise and livelihoods projects.

Your support will enable Fields of Life to provide simple but life-changing toilet facilties at Bumbogo Modern Nursery and Primary School and rainwater harvesting water tanks at Wisdom Primary School. Your support will also help extend the 'I am Fed' programme to provide some children with their only meal of the day and by reaching even more vulnerable children and young people to give them hope not just for tomorrow, but for their future.

Team members: Andrew Brown, Philip Brown, Ian Dunn, Peter Harold, Lindsay Harron, Dan Hayes, Claire Henderson, Gary Hill, Peter Lynas, Benny McKeown, Tim Reid, Philip Thompson,
