Our goal is to create a safe space for our sporting heroes, past, present and future that suffer from sports-related brain injuries and connect with the best brains in science and research to make positive change.

Story

I'm raising money in memory of my wife's cousin Paul Brett, who sadly became unwell in October 2023 and took his own life in July 2024.

Paul was a fantastic person, he had a great sense of humour and was a loving husband, brother, son and dad and is sorely missed every day.

Paul's loving family suspect he suffered from a degenerative brain illness called CTE. CTE can be caused by repeated concussions in contact sports such as rugby, football and boxing and Paul certainly had his fair share of these as a semi-professional rugby player in his younger years.

Whilst Paul had agreed to be assessed for CTE, unfortunately he took his own life before any assessment could happen. Raising awareness of CTE in sports, educating players about the risks, and funding more research into this life-changing illness is a cause that the family will forever support.

I have therefore decided to do a Skydive (yes I am mental) and I'm raising money for a charity called Head for Change in memory of Paul, so if you have any spare pennies, please sponsor me.
