🌟 Fundraising Profile for Birmingham Children’s Hospital 2024 🌟
Hello, family,supporters and friends,
We embark on our fundraising journey in 2024, dedicating to one event per month for 2024, with a pinnacle being the Great North Run—all in the name of raising crucial funds for Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
Our inspirations amongst many other extraordinary procedures and care BCU undertake on a daily basis are Lily Morris who entered the world with a challenging start. She had developed Oesophageal Atresia (OA) and Tracheo-Oesophageal Fistula (TOF) which affects 1/3500 babies at birth. Lily was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit at just 24 hours old. The hospital’s unwavering dedication and a life-saving 7hour operation marked the beginning of Lily’s incredible journey, followed by months of compassionate aftercare and rehabilitation on the ward. Today, Lily is thriving, thanks to the exceptional care provided by Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
Our story resonates beyond Lily, touching the lives of our dear friends and neighbors, Gary and Amy. Their son, Lewis, also experienced the exceptional care and medical assistance that Birmingham Children’s Hospital provides. In gratitude for the life-changing impact on Lily, Lewis, and countless others, we have committed to raising funds to ensure the hospital can continue its vital work.
Join us on this meaningful journey—support us in reaching and hopefully surpassing our fundraising goals and make a lasting impact on the lives of children and families in need. Together, let’s contribute to the ongoing success of Birmingham Children’s Hospital, allowing them to provide hope, healing, and care for many more children like Lily and Lewis.
Your generosity fuels hope and transforms lives. Let’s make every step, every event, count for the Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
With heartfelt thanks,
Dan, Frankie, Gary Amy and all our Friends and Family.
