Millions of people have been pushed further into poverty by the pandemic, conflict and the climate crisis. That's why this September, James, Peter, Esther & Jessica are taking on this fundraising challenge of walking 50 miles to help people lift themselves out of poverty and stay there.

This month, by sponsoring our family, you could make a huge difference to children like Oudo, from the Democratic Republic of Congo. He dreams of being a doctor, but conflict and extreme poverty mean that his family is struggling just to survive.

Over three million children like Oudo have fled their homes and are needing help now. Oudo loved school and was in his third year when his village was attacked, forcing him to flee. “At home I ate well,” Oudo tells us. “Here we hardly eat and are never full. I miss my house, but I wont go back because there are a lot of wars.”

£168 raised could enable three families like Oudo's to protect themselves from hunger by providing them with a food pack as well as seeds and tools to grow their own crops.
