Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I’m conducting multiple running events to raise money for Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Appeal. The Charity directly supports Bristol Royal Hospital for Children (BRHC). I have taken part in the Bristol Half Marathon & the Weston-Super-Half. My events are as follows:

Sunday 11-May-2025 -Bristol Half Marathon Completed 2hrs 42 mins 48 Secs

Sunday 19-Oct-2025 - Weston-Super-Half Completed 2hrs 40 mins 4 Secs

Sunday 23-Nov-2025 - Chew Valley 10k

Friday 26-Dec-2025 - Clevedon Boxing Day Run

My daughter is currently a patient who has been diagnosed with Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis and has had spinal fusion surgery. The money that I raise will go directly to the Planet Therapy Paediatric Physiotherapists Dept at BRHC to fund the purchase of a new specialist chair to assist critically un-well children in mobilising and rehabilitation. This chair will allow children to access the garden near to the PICU and to explore other areas of the hospital providing them and their family with a degree of independence. Planet Therapy is currently lacking fully supporting recliner chairs that are appropriate for critically ill children, in their tertiary centre. Any further money raised will go towards getting TVs and Tablets for the Daisy HDU ward as well as other projects at BHRC and the Paediatric Department at Bristol Eye Hospital.

I won’t just be running these events, I will be running them carrying webbing (military equipment) filled with 15kg of weight. This is to symbolise the unseen burdens that people carry with them on a daily basis.
