How far can I swim in 12 hours? · 28 June 2024

It is our vision to have nations without drowning where everyone can safely enjoy being in, on or near water. Since 1891 we’ve been sharing our expertise in water safety, lifesaving, and lifeguarding to educate everyone to enjoy water safely.

Story

The Royal Life Saving Soceity do a brilliant job in helping people to swim, and more importantly save lives! I would like to do something for them that is relevant, that being a swim. So why for 12 hours? Good question! The past 2 years I did a charity Ironman Triathlon and a 24 Hour Hill Walk, so I am following the trend of endurance. I am aiming to swim as far as I can, for 12 hours. Many people sadly lose their lives due to drowning, whether that is through inexperience or unfortunate circumstances. I want to raise awareness of the good work this charity does, in preventing lives being lost in water. On Friday 28th June I swam 16 mile within the 12 hour time limit, in a 25m pool. Lets support this great charity!
