I’m running the Manchester Marathon 2026 for Wirral Hospice St John’s in memory of my dad.

In the final months of his life, my dad was cared for with extraordinary compassion and dignity by the team at Wirral Hospice St John’s. The hospice supported him, and us as a family, through every step of that difficult journey.

This marathon is for them as much as him.

It's a way of saying thank you, of remembering him and of helping ensure other families get the same care, kindness, and comfort that we did.

Hospices like St John’s rely on donations to continue their work. If you can give anything, no matter how small, it would mean the world to me and help others going through the hardest moments of their lives.
