So….

Beginning of a cold winters Sunday morning I’ll be embarking on a hilly half marathon around Knebworth all to try and raise some funds for a charity very close to my heart.

For those that know me, know how close I am with my family. This charity is very close to us. As for those who are aware the last 2 years my dad has had the biggest challenge of his life battling mesothelioma, which for those that haven’t heard of it is the effects of asbestos exposure which results in cancer.

Unfortunately it’s spread recently and I hope to raise money for a cause that can hopefully find a cure to aid in not only my dads but also any future patients.

My dad would never want a fuss! Always the one to turn to and a proud man so now it’s my time to do something for him!

I don’t have a target of fundraising or time! It’s all about awareness and embracing the day to make it a day to enjoy!

I’ll be embarking on this journey with a good mate Mark who’s willing to put himself through the paces as well and that’s something I’m grateful for.

This isn’t a plead for donations, just a more if you can… then that’s amazing!
