Story
This August I am taking part in the Edward’s Trust Summer Read-A-Thon and challenging myself to read 5 books in 31 days in support of bereaved families.
I've been working for Edward's Trust for over a year now and I've seen first hand how much of a difference the work and support my incredible counsellor colleagues do in supporting the bereaved parents, children and young people that come to us.
As many of you might know, reading is something I've always enjoyed and that I often do on my free time, that's why I've decided to challenge myself to read 5 whole books during August, which is a big challenge for me. I hope that by doing this I can personally raise some vital funds to help Edward’s Trust continue to do its amazing work supporting bereaved families across the West Midlands.
Any contribution you can make to sponsor me and help me reach my target will be deeply appreciated.
Every year, Edward’s Trust supports around 700 families who are navigating the devastating impact of bereavement. It costs approximately £600,000 annually to fund the range of vital services we provide, from counselling and well-being therapies to support groups, all free of charge and with no time limits.
Without government funding, Edward’s Trust rely entirely on the generosity of supporters like me and you. Every donation you give directly helps bereaved families rebuild their lives and find hope for the future.
Thank you for your support!
