Multiple Events in 2024

It’s unacceptable that more than half of people diagnosed with the deadliest common cancer die within three months. That’s why they need and deserve more. More research, more funding, more breakthroughs. More than hope. Together we’ll make that possible.

Story

With the support of friends and colleagues, the Sumpter family is coming together to raise funds for a charity that is dear to our hearts. In November 2024, our beloved Dad Paul tragically lost his courageous battle against Pancreatic Cancer at the age of 55.

It is staggering to think that more than half of individuals diagnosed with pancreatic cancer pass away within just 3 months. The statistics are shocking – survival rates for most cancers have significantly improved, but pancreatic cancer remains a formidable challenge with a bleak prognosis upon diagnosis.

Merely 7% of those diagnosed with pancreatic cancer survive beyond five years, and the UK lags behind other European countries in terms of survival rates. However, Pancreatic Cancer UK is unwavering in its commitment to addressing this injustice through every available avenue. By supporting individuals currently battling pancreatic cancer, advocating for change, and funding crucial research, they are striving to revolutionize outcomes for the better. Your support can help pave the way for crucial breakthroughs that are desperately needed by those affected by pancreatic cancer.
