Why am I fundraising?
In 2009 i lost my fiancee to cancer. We were both only 24 at the time. She was one of the happiest, good humans in the world that lit up every room with her smile. Since her passing i have taken on several challenges raising over £30,000 for Young Lives vs Cancer and on my last one i became a double world record holder. With it being the 15 year anniversary of shelly passing away and the year i personally turn 40 i thought it would be a great idea to really take myself out of my comfort zone and attempt my first ultra marathons. I live by the motto Pain is Temporary and Pride is Forever and thats something i will need to remind myself when the going gets tough during these races.
My challenges for 2024 and the results i got
1) 13 & 14/1/24 - Back to Back Ultra Marathons At Rasselbock sherwood forest event - Goal = 100k over the 2 days ( Completed)
13/1/24 - 6 hour event - ran 65km
14//1/24 - 6 hour event - ran 40
2) 2/3/24 - Back Yard Ultra - Rasselbock Sherwood forest - goal = 100 miles
Result - 50 miles (failed)
3) 11/5/24 - The Lap - Lake windermere - 47 mile race round Lake Windermere in the Lake District - Goal = finish under 12 hours
Result - 11 hours 44 (Completed)

Any donations no matter how small will make a massive difference to help child and young adults cancer and their families.
Thank you

When a child is diagnosed with cancer life becomes full of fear, for them and their family. Fear of treatment, but also of families being torn apart, overwhelming money worries, of having nowhere to turn, no one to talk to.
At Young Lives vs Cancer, we help families find the strength to face whatever cancer throws at them. But every day 12 more children and young people hear the devastating news they have cancer. We’ll face it all together – but we can’t do it without you.
