The Mexborough Stroke therapy team are planning on ‘virtually’ walking, running, cycling or swimming the distance of the famous Land's End to John O'Groats route. This will require the team to complete 1189 Miles within an 8 week timescale. The 14 participants will aim to complete just over 10 miles per week which is 85 miles each within the 8 weeks. This will be especially challenging after the indulgent festive period! Not to forget the added challenge of exercising in the cold and wet weather that January often brings.

We would like to raise money for a new bariatric wheelchair. This would allow all patients to get around the ward with ease to access activities and rehab facilitates.

We are aiming to raise £500 as this would give us the £280 required to purchase the wheelchair and all additional money would be used towards purchasing a much needed standing transfer aid and a riser recliner chair for stroke patients.
