Story

Elise, James and I are excited to be taking part in the Santa in the City 2025 run to raise vital funds for the Williams Syndrome Foundation. Our goal is to raise £1,000 to support this wonderful charity and with your help, we can make a real difference to the lives of people affected by Williams Syndrome.

Williams Syndrome is a rare genetic condition that occurs randomly and affects around 1 in 18,000 people in the UK. It can lead to a wide range of health challenges, including cardiovascular and kidney issues, hearing loss, mobility difficulties, scoliosis, and learning disabilities. Many children experience delayed development, and adults often require significant support to live independently.

Despite these challenges, individuals with Williams Syndrome are known for their warm, sociable personalities and incredible friendliness.

The Williams Syndrome Foundation provides essential support to families navigating this complex, uncertain journey. A diagnosis of Williams Syndrome can feel overwhelming and isolating, and many families struggle to find the information and community they need. The Foundation offers guidance, emotional support, community connections, and signposting to vital services, ensuring no family faces the diagnosis alone

By donating today, you’ll be helping us get closer to our fundraising target and supporting a charity that changes lives. Every contribution, big or small, counts.

Thank you so much for supporting our fundraiser,

Elise, James and Daniel.
