Story
In November 2024, my mum got diagnosed with terminal, stage 4 lung and liver cancer. Mine and my family's world had fallen apart and we just couldn't quite believe why and how this was happening to her. She is a healthy lady who has never smoked and takes good care of herself. Since she has been diagnosed, she has had many tests, scans, has undergone chemotherapy, immunotherapy, endless appointments and more (to go).
In May 2025, she had been admitted to the Royal Marsden in Chelsea for four weeks in critical care due to her recent reaction of immunotherapy. Her body went into overdrive and she has been very ill and now her heart has taken toll on top of this. Myself, family and a number of friends were visiting her day in and day out.
Recently, she has started her second round of chemo and has to start the whole process again.
All we know is that her type of cancer is very rare and incredibly aggressive however, all of us are determined to keep rooting and fighting for Pip.
I have two very good friends of mine, Zak and Will, running beside me, supporting and motivating me (as they’re the pros) which I am very grateful for. Any donations towards this run would be greatly appreciated.
For my mum, for Pip, for everyone else battling this, together we will beat cancer!
Thank you,
