Archie struggles daily due to his medical conditions but doesnt let that show. Infact some people may wonder why & how he is different. Behind Archie is a little happy loving boy but also a child that struggles with extreme fatigue, low sugars and is registered blind, he is in pain daily due to mito but never lets that affect the person he is.

Ava is also having gentic testing to see if she also has this awful rare condition. Archie & Ava lost there older cousin Cavan at just age 15 years old last year to mito so we are dedicated to try and help this amazing charity with there hard work to find a cure.

Every other day in the UK, a baby is born who may develop serious mitochondrial disease. The Lily Foundation was founded in 2007 by Liz Curtis in memory of her daughter Lily, who died from mito at just 8 months old. Finding little information or support to help her, Liz set out to provide answers for herself and others in her situation.
