For a while now I have been trying to become a little bit healthier and I have been really enjoying the exercise I have done to try and become fitter.

I decided to run the great North Run to challenge myself but I felt that if I could raise some money for a good cause at the same time, that would give me a really good reason to do the very best that I could whilst helping others.

I have never run this far before so it will be a real challenge for me which I hope I am able to complete.

St Catherine’s Hospice does amazing work and their organisation helps so many people and one never knows if one day one of us, someone you know, love or care about will be grateful of their help.

I know that times are currently very hard for everyone but I am proud to be able to support this charity and believe that whatever amount I can raise, and no matter how small the donations I receive, that ultimately it will help to support them.
