Dani’s fundraiser for Children's Heart Surgery Fund in Memory of Isaac

Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon 2024 · 12 May 2024
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I decided to participate the great North Run back in September 2023 (Half Marathon) not only to challenge myself but I felt that if I could achieve it I could also raise some money for a good cause at the same time.
When I completed the run having raised over £1000 for St Catherine's I vowed never to run another half marathon again…
…Fast forward to October 2023 I was on Leanne Smith’s big 40th weekend, we got talking about all the amazing fund raising she was doing in memory of her son Isaac.
This is when me and my Auntie (Emma), Leanne’s Sister in Law, decided (we had had a glass of wine by this point) that we would love to participate in the May 2024 Leeds Marathon in support of the Children's Heart Surgery Fund in Memory of Isaac.
CHSF are wholly funded by donations, and help over 17,000 babies, children and adults living with congenital heart disease (CHD) each year.
Donations help provide life-saving medical equipment for the Leeds Congenital Heart Unit, parent accommodation for families and vital ward resources.
I know that times are currently very hard for everyone but I am proud to be able to support this charity and believe that whatever amount I can raise, and no matter how small the donations I receive, that ultimately it will help to support them.
Thank you for reading this and sincere thanks for any sponsorship that you feel able to make.
