My first official half marathon and I'm doing it to raise money for Theatre Royal - Stratford East! This theatre has been integral to the community for a long time. Most of the staff are from Newham (I am, too) and as it stands, funding for the arts overall has taken an unsustainable hit and to take it away from one of the most deprived boroughs in the UK is sinister.

I've been coming here since I was a kid, and their local community programs, involvement with local schools and getting young people into theatre is admirable. So, funding is needed to keep it going! Dig deep, I've got a big target ;)
