Story
In 2022, after years of fertility issues, tests and failed IVF cycles, my husband and I decided enough was enough. We didnt want IVF dictating our life anymore! Life was uncertain, what would our future look like? We had no idea!
Then after many discussions, we wondered,.. what about adoption?
A light bulb went off and all of a sudden we could see, and we knew what path we needed to take. It all fitted in to place, we wanted a child to love, that part was simple, and there were so many children out there who just wanted a Mummy and Daddy to love them. Suddenly everything felt right and we started looking in to the process right away.
We contacted St Andrew's Children's society right away and were invited to join "prep group". This allowed us to learn so much about the process and the charity, it opened our minds and our hearts and we knew St Andrew's Children's society was about to become a very important part of our life.
We were right! Fast forward through all the meetings, training, important discussions, panels and searching and we finally have our perfect boy! SACS was with us every step of the way, the support and care we received made the journey so simple and positive. Even now we have officially adopted our son, we are invited back to special events to catch up.
The charity really do make dreams come true, not just for mummy and daddies to be, but to the children who just want the love and security of a family.
Something that everyone deserves!
