Story
This March, I’ll be walking 100km for Paws for Pregnancy Loss 2026, raising funds for the Miscarriage Association — and this one is deeply personal.
Over the past year, James and I have been on our IVF journey. We experienced the joy of seeing positive tests, watching our baby grow, and even seeing a tiny heartbeat… twice. And twice, we’ve experienced the heartbreak of miscarriage.
Pregnancy loss changes you.
It’s physical. It’s emotional. It’s isolating.
And it’s far more common than many people realise.
In the quiet moments of grief — when there are no words, no answers, and no way to “fix” the pain — it’s often the simplest things that carry you through. For me, that’s been the comfort of walking. Fresh air. Movement. And the unconditional presence of our Reggie and Rocco, who have stayed close through every tear-filled day without ever needing an explanation.
That’s why this challenge feels so meaningful.
Paws for Pregnancy Loss recognises the quiet comfort our pets give us in the darkest times — and raises vital funds for the Miscarriage Association, so they can continue to provide support, information, and a safe space for those navigating pregnancy loss.
No one should have to go through this alone.
I’ll be walking 100km throughout March in honour of the babies we’ve lost, for families currently in the thick of grief, and for those still holding onto hope in their fertility journey.
If you feel able to donate towards my £500 target, I would be so incredibly grateful. Every contribution helps fund support for people experiencing miscarriage — and helps us keep these conversations open.
And if you can’t donate, please share.
Talk about pregnancy loss.
Check in on your people.
Together, even small steps can make a big difference. 🤍
