Story
Wigan to Blackpool in 23, Blackpool to Wigan in 24, Wrexham to Wigan in 25 and this year taking it even further with a walk from Bradford to Wigan.
It's a two and a half day event this year; the plan is to get to Bradford early on 12th March and walkthe first 18 miles to Hebden Bridge. On the Thursday it's an early start for the longest section, approximately 25 miles from Hebden Bridge to Bolton. We then finish with a short 12 or so miles on Saturday morning, arriving at the Brick Community Stadium in time for the game.
We survived last year's walk (photos in the gallery) but this is even more challenging and I think one of the hardest things about it will be the hills. We live in Lincolnshire, we don't have that many hills to walk up!!
I appreciate times aren't getting any easier and money is always tight but this is a worthy cause. Joseph's Goal is a charity funding research to find a cure for NKH (Non-Ketonic Hyperglycinaemia), a rare genetic condition that affects one in 60,000 new-borns, it is so rare that there are less than 500 children in the world living with it.
