At LATCH we are always looking at how we can make what we offer even better for our patients and their families. The purpose of this appeal is to ask for donations to support our work to refresh and upgrade our parents accommodation, at LATCH.

Story

In May 2020 Rhys Evans aged 7, was diagnosed with Aplastic Anaemia - a rare blood disorder which prevents the body producing enough blood cells. Sadly on the 22nd June 2020 Rhys tragically lost his life, leaving the whole family and community devastated.

LATCH who are Cardiff based children cancer charity, helped support Rhys' family through the most traumatic period of their lives and continue to do so.

On Sunday October 1st, six of us will run the Cardiff Half marathon, in memory of Rhys, with an aim to raise much needed funds to help support the incredible work LATCH provide.

About the charity

LATCH supports children diagnosed with cancer or leukaemia and their families with practical, emotional and financial support to ease the burden they face. The charity supports hundreds of children, and their families across Wales each year being treated at the Children’s Hospital for Wales.
