Story

Hello Everyone,

My name is Danielle Bright, and I’m reaching out to share a heartfelt request with you. I’m fundraising in loving memory of three incredibly special souls who have profoundly touched my life and the lives of many others.

Lily Pritchard

My nan was a pillar of strength and love in our family. Whenever I visited her, she would be comfortably seated in her chair with something like 'Deal or No Deal' on the telly. She was an incredibly stubborn lady, but she always made you feel welcome in her house and listened to whatever you said. Though I didn't see my nan very often, I always remember that, no matter where you went, you could bet on finding her in a cosy café, savouring her cup of tea and chatting happily with other family members.

It’s been about five years since you’ve been gone, and you’re truly missed. I can just imagine you having a heart attack watching me jump out of a plane! Don’t worry, though — I promise I'll be safe! :)

Sue Wileman

Sue was truly one of the kindest and warmest ladies you could ever meet. She always took the time to listen and share her thoughtful advice. No matter the situation, she had this incredible ability to make you smile and share a good laugh. Sue had a special way of making everyone feel welcome and cherished. I’ll always be grateful for her support of my crocheting hobby, and she would gift the items I made to her grandchildren, who brought her so much joy. Her encouragement meant the world to me, and her generosity was simply limitless.

It’s been tough without her around, but we’ll always cherish her in our hearts and keep her spirit shining bright. Her kindness and support have truly left a mark on us, inspiring us every day.

Lucy

Lucy was a truly special dog; she wasn't just a pet, she was family. Yes, she could be the most stubborn pup you’d ever meet, but that was all part of her endearing charm! Her vibrant personality brought so much joy into my life, and I wouldn't have changed a thing about her. On tough days and during stressful times, she was my rock and my best friend. I still find myself chuckling when I remember her silly antics; she had this habit of kicking you with her back legs while you were sitting down, almost playfully saying, 'Move over!' And then she’d wiggle her little butt to nudge the chair, nudging me to get off the chair to let her sit down. I miss her dearly; she truly meant the world to me.

Losing her was like losing a piece of my heart, and even though it’s been ten years, I still feel that part of me is missing. There will never be another dog or person who can replace Lucy and the cherished spot she holds in my heart.

Contributing to this fundraiser is such a meaningful way to honor the cherished memories of my nan, Lucy, and Sue. Your kindness is truly making a difference in the lives of others, and I am so grateful to have your support. Thank you for being so generous!

With heartfelt appreciation,

Dani
