On 30th December 2025, I lost my dad, Brian, to cancer. He faced everything that came his way with grit and determination, and we’re proud to carry that strength forward in his name.

To honour my Dad and to give something back, Anna and I are taking on the Great North Run this year.

We’ve decided to do this to help raise money for the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation, through Newcastle Hospitals. A cause that was close to my Dad’s heart and one that helps families across the North East avoid the pain ours went through.

And to be clear:

We are not runners, not even close.

But we’re doing it because Dad never quit, and we want to push ourselves in the same spirit. Every mile will be for him.
