Story
We lost our 16 year old son Daniel in September 2005. Daniel went off to play a football match and died after scoring a goal. We found it very hard to cope with the fact that Daniel had never been ill and he was a very fit young man. He played for two football teams and sport was his life. The only thing we could focus on was the fact he had died doing something he loved but it still did not feel right that someone so young and sporty should die from this. Every week in the UK at least 12 apparently fit and healthy young people die of undiagnosed cardiac conditions.
With your donation, CRY can reduce the frequency of young sudden cardiac death (YSCD) by working with cardiologists and family doctors to establish good practice and appropriate screening facilities to promote and protect the cardiac health of our young.
By supporting CRY you will help save young lives from these potentially fatal cardiac conditions.
