With a focus on patient-centred care, we combine state-of-the art-equipment, novel clinical trials, passionate staff and the most modern cancer research with compassion and effective psychological support so that our patients and their loved ones can feel fully supported throughout their cancer journey. We do this because we know each person and every cancer is unique - we don’t want to treat them all the same. Guy’s is the leading UK provider of care and treatment for people with cancer and we’re dedicated to helping patients navigate what can be the most challenging time of their lives. With all our services located under one roof within our bright and welcoming Cancer Centre, we’re able to offer seamless care every step of the way, from diagnosis, through treatment, and after, in an environment that doesn’t feel like a traditional hospital. We know that the landscape of cancer is changing. More people are being affected, but we’re at an exciting point in time when promising new therapies are being developed and research breakthroughs are waiting to be made. It’s crucial that we continue to fund the innovative research, treatment and exceptional care that takes place at Guy’s to ensure we keep going above and beyond what the NHS alone can provide as we help more people cope with and survive cancer.

We are taking part in the 25k walk across the London bridges. We are raising money for Guy’s Cancer Hospital Charity, in hopes to further support their research and find new treatments to help save the lives of others and even find cures for cancers and illnesses. My husband/father has been receiving care and treatment for his myeloma - blood and bone marrow cancer (plasma cell disorder), that is currently incurable, hard to keep under control and is reoccurring, at the Guy’s cancer centre for the last 10 years. He has continuously received support from the hospital team when attending his appointments. With all the research Guy’s Cancer hospital has continued to find and search for, my husband/father has been able to go on a clinical trial, which he has been apart of for the last two years, and has enabled his cancer to be in remission for the last two years. Therefore, with the continuous support to this charity, and in hopes us doing this walk will raise more awareness and support, will also help this charity gain more donations to continue their hard work in finding more research for new trails and treatments and even cures.

We appreciate and thank you for the time in reading this and are truly grateful for any donation that is made for us to support this charity!
