I am thrilled that I will be running my first half-marathon soon!

This run is not just a personal challenge but also a noble cause close to my heart. I am dedicating my run to raise funds for the Sports Connections Foundation (SCF), a remarkable charity that harnesses the power of sports to transform the lives of children and young people. Since its inception in 2010, SCF has engaged with over 580,000 children, providing them with hope, empowerment, and education through various programs such as Sporting Wishes, Inspire Through Inclusion, and the ProKick Schools Challenge.

The impact of SCF is profound and wide-reaching. They work tirelessly to fulfil the dreams of children facing life-limiting illnesses, foster positive futures for disadvantaged children, and guide many away from a life of poverty. Endorsed by the Professional Footballers' Association, SCF also collaborates with schools both in the UK and in some of the world's poorest countries to create a positive impact. Their mission resonates deeply with me, and I am committed to supporting them in creating more opportunities for children and young people.

Each stride I take in this half marathon symbolizes a step towards a better future for these children. I aim to raise £500 to contribute to SCF's ongoing initiatives, and I am contacting my incredible network for support. Any amount you can contribute will make a significant difference and bring us closer to a world where every child has the opportunity to thrive.
