Story

In June this year, my dad (who is 72!) and I will be taking on the IRONMAN 70.3 Elsinore — all to raise money for Headway Salford Trafford & North Manchester.

Why this matters

Acquired brain injury can happen to anyone, at any time — and when it does, it changes lives instantly.

I’ve seen this first-hand through my role as a trustee with Headway, and through my work supporting people living with brain injuries. The impact on individuals and families is huge — physically, emotionally, and financially.

Headway provides vital support, guidance, and community for those rebuilding their lives after brain injury. Quite simply, they are there when people need them most.

Every single pound donated helps make that support possible.

The challenge

This isn’t a small ask…

- 1.9km sea swim

- 90km bike ride

- Half marathon run

All in one go.

I’ve done triathlon before, but after a couple of years away from proper training, this will be a real test.

And my dad… well, he’s 72.

That alone deserves your support.

Please support us

We’re pushing ourselves to the limit for a cause that genuinely changes lives.

If you’re able to donate — no matter how big or small — it would mean a huge amount to us, and to the people and families supported by Headway.

Thank you so much
