I'm Danny and i'm taking part in a cross-channel swim with the Beech Hall swim squad. I'm 13 years old and it's my first time attempting to cross the channel. We are a team of 5 boys and we will each take 1 hour turns swimming from Samphire Hoe (near Dover) to France. I started my training in September 2023, and i have been swimming 5+ times a week including cold water swim training and even training to swim with jellyfish.

Overall, we are aiming to raise £15,000 in 2024. My school has already raised £85,000 in previous years' swims, and this would mean we reach over £100,000 raised for Mencap.
