Story

On Sunday, 1st October - I will be taking part in Kenny Logan’s Rugby World Cup Challenge which will see a group of us walk and cycle 700 miles from Edinburgh to Paris for the Rugby World Cup. This huge challenge will see us complete this in 7 days and arrive in Paris for the Scotland vs Ireland group stage of the World Cup. The purpose of the challenge is to raise vital funds for the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation to support their fight against Motor Neuron Disease.

The funds raised will go towards necessary research and development to find a cure so desperately needed for MND; the disease that took our dear friend, Doddie who was a neighbour of mine up at the farm. Seeing his wit and determination after being diagnosed with the disease was incredible. When you are lucky to meet someone with the resilience and determination that Doddie had, it doesn’t leave you. He has set this foundation up knowing that it will have little impact for him personally, but he knew it would make a difference for many other people in years to come. So as a friend and a neighbour, it is my duty to do as much as possible for such a man like Doddie. Please dig deep, as believe me, I will have to dig deeper. And, believe me, I will ensure that I complete it.

Keep Smiling

Danny :)
