Story
This year, I have the honor of running a half marathon in memory of my brother, who passed away from Ewing sarcoma. During his illness, he was fortunate to receive the love and support of East Anglian Children's Hospice (EACH), an organization dedicated to caring for children and young people with life-threatening conditions. Their family-centered approach includes specialist nursing care, symptom management, short breaks, well-being activities, therapies, care at the end of life, bereavement support, counseling, and volunteer services—all tailored to meet the individual needs of the child, young person, and their entire family.
The compassion and dedication that the palliative care team provided to my brother and our family were invaluable. They helped us navigate difficult moments and create unforgettable memories in a nurturing environment. I feel a deep gratitude toward them, which is why I have decided to raise funds to ensure they can continue their vital work.
Only around 15% of their income comes from government funding, so they rely heavily on fundraising efforts like this. A donation of just £13 could pay one of their amazing Care Assistants for one hour, providing essential care to families in need.
Every kilometer I run will be a way to honor my brother's memory and thank all those who work tirelessly for the well-being of children and their families. Your support can make a significant difference and help more children receive the care they deserve.
If you would like to join this cause, I invite you to make a donation. Together, we can contribute to ensuring that East Anglian Children's Hospice continues to provide its invaluable support.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support.
