Women & Girls Empowerment- Camara Education TANZANIA · 5 February 2024

Camara Education sets up computer labs in schools across Africa, and trains teachers and local staff to use and maintain them; to date we have installed over 130,000 computers into 12,000 schools, impacting almost 4.5 million African children. We aim to deliver transformative digital education.

Story

PLEASE join me in making a difference for female students in Tanzania.

I am excited to be part of a group of Women, advocating for girls' empowerment through education. The WAGE group are fundraising for Camara Education www.camara.org/, an Irish-born charity that provides computers, teacher training and innovative learning programmes to schools across Africa.

To date, CAMARA have installed over 130,000 computers in over 12,000 schools and trained over 65,000 teachers in digital skills.

Within Tanzania, CAMARA are working alongside the Ministry of Education to support secondary schools in low-income areas where many young girls do not get to complete their education. With your support, I am hoping to fund a computer lab/e-Learning centre in a Secondary public school located on the outskirts of Dar-es-Salem, serving low-income families and where few girls complete their education. A computer lab will give girls the digital literacy they require in our increasingly digital world.

My target is to reach £5,000 and I am so grateful for your support.
