6 months ago, I was diagnosed with a spinal tumour. In under 24 hours I was rushed from my local A&E to Hull Hospital where surgery was attempted to remove it. I was so incredibly lucky to have my tumour fully removed, with clear margins.

Despite all the complications of paralysis, blood clots, I made an incredible recovery and persevered to where am I now (most importantly back to riding my horse😊)

I’m raising this money to aid the research into the intricate work that surgeons have to complete when dealing with the brain and the spine. I’m raising money for those that have to endure the pain that I only experienced temporarily, the difference this charity can make to so many with gruelling neurological conditions.

By completing the Great Grimsby 10k, I will have proven to myself that i’ve come out from the other side stronger after such a short amount of time. That the key to recovery is believing you will improve and persevering with a huge support system from family and friends. 6 months ago I definitely thought this would never be possible for me, and I can’t wait to run for The Brain & Spine Foundation❤️
