Long-distance swimming marathon from Henley-on-Thames to Marlow

Story

Swimming is one of the most important parts of my life. It’s brought me infinite joy, the best of friends, and an abundance of experiences & skills.

Emma, Henry, and I are are swimming for 24 hours on 30-31st August. Em & I have swum together almost forever and were teammates before we were friends (by a matter of weeks!), and after volunteering at our club growing up we are now swimming teachers. Alongside our special guest Henry, tackling more of the night swims and key responsibility for team morale, we are excited to take on this challenge to raise money to increase access to the sport we all love.

I'll also be swimming the Dart 10k in early September. This will be my longest ever swim and a definite challenge but I’m looking forward to it!

The Henley Swim Festival company have dissolved so the Thames Marathon has unfortunately been cancelled :( BUT instead I’ll be swimming the Dart 10k still for Level Water in September !!

Level Water is a phenomenal charity, and having worked as a swimming teacher, including with children with additional needs, the impact being in the water has is immediately evident. Anyone close to me knows I talk about level water constantly so I’m delighted to be pursuing this challenge for them!!🐠🏊🏼‍♀️🌟🐳

Swimming is like nothing else. The skills you develop, the confidence you build and the joys you feel are all universal. Yet access to swimming in the UK is not. Everyone should have the opportunity to learn to swim and fall in love with the water.

I’m doing this to raise money for Level Water, a charity that provides 1-to-1 swimming lessons for children with disabilities. With every £15 donation, you’re helping to fund a lesson that could change a child’s life, giving them the skills and confidence to one day take on challenges like this.

Please consider donating—your support means the world to me and to the children we’re helping!
