Story
IIH UK is a charity that holds a special place in my heart. My wife has a condition called Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension (IIH), this went undiagnosed for far too long. Because of this delay, it led to her needing emergency surgery to have a shunt fitted, a life-changing procedure that has offered great relief but still has had many challenges.
I want to help raise awareness and support for IIH UK, an organisation aiming to increasing understanding of this lifelong condition. IIH can cause symptoms such as extreme headaches, back pain, neck pain, dizziness, and in some cases, permanent blurred vision. This impacts daily life not only for those affected but also their families and caregivers.
IIH UK provides support to families navigating in these challenges and conducts research worldwide to develop more effective treatments. As I am preparing for the adidas Manchester Marathon on April 19th 2026 I would be incredibly grateful if you could contribute whatever you can towards my fundraising goal of £1,000. Any support will make a huge difference in raising awareness and offering resources for those living with IIH.
