National Three Peaks Challenge · 20 September 2024

Young Roots is a London-based charity working with young refugees and asylum seekers aged 11-25 seeking safety in the UK, most of whom are alone without their families. We provide practical and emotional support through Casework, Youthwork, and specialist advice via partners.

Story

Each year at Dare, all team members select a charity from a shortlist to partner closely with and dedicate our fundraising efforts towards.

For 2024, our chosen Charity of the Year is Young Roots.

To raise proceeds, the team are undertaking the National Three Peaks Challenge. The challenge involves summitting the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales within 24 hours.

Beginning with Ben Nevis in Scotland, we'll make our way to Scafell Pike and then finally complete the challenge at Snowdon, Wales, scaling over 3000m across 3 different countries, all in a single day!

Young Roots is a London-based charity working with young refugees and asylum seekers aged 11-25, most of whom are alone in the UK without their families. The charity supports young people to improve their wellbeing and fulfil their potential, helping them to access English language mentoring, youth leadership and specialist legal advice.

Please support us and help improve the lives of these young people who currently find themselves very far from home.
