Story
Hi everyone,
I’ve decided (some might say bravely, others might say foolishly!) to run the London Marathon. As someone who’s definitely not an experienced runner, this is a massive challenge for me—26.2 miles of determination, blisters, and probably a few tears along the way. But I’m determined to shuffle, jog, and maybe even crawl over that finish line.
I’m doing it because I believe every child deserves safety, dignity, and the chance to thrive. That’s why I’m raising money for Kids Club Kampala, an amazing charity that supports vulnerable children and families living in some of Uganda’s most disadvantaged communities. They provide:
✅ Nutritious meals—because no child should go to bed hungry.
✅ Access to education—giving children the tools to build brighter futures.
✅ Child protection services—keeping kids safe from abuse and neglect.
✅ Support for families—helping entire communities break the cycle of poverty
Every donation—big or small—will help provide food, education, protection, and hope to children who need it most.
If you’re able to support me, I’d be so grateful. Knowing you’re behind me will keep me going through every mile (and every ache and pain!).
Your donation will motivate me to keep going when my legs are screaming and I’m fantasising about takeaway pizza instead of mile markers but more importantly change the lives of thousands of children who rely on the work of Kids Club Kampala.
Thank you so much for your encouragement and generosity. Together, we can make a real difference.
Darren :)
