Story
UPDATE:
Yes, the title of this page has changed and yes it is correct. I am sorry to report that due to an injury sustained whilst training, I have been forced to defer my place till 2026.
In July 2025 I will be undertaking the longest ride of my life so far, cycling from London to Paris! I’ll be covering around 315 miles over 4 days, finishing under the Eiffel Tower.
I have never attempted anything like this before and it will be pushing me well outside my comfort zone on many levels.
This is a self funded event and I am paying my own way. Whilst I’m doing it, I have decided to use this as a good opportunity to raise awareness and funds for a well deserving charity (100% of money raised will go direct to the charity)
I have chosen MacMillan Cancer Research as like most people, I know far too many who have lost their lives to cancer including friends, work colleagues and my own mum, back in 2020. Whilst there has been a lot of progress over recent years in the fight to curing cancer, we still have a long way to go to help with early detection, treatment & preventative measures, not to mention the support for those with cancer and their families.
I am not great at sharing on Facebook but will be bold & keep you all updated on my training progress as well as pictures and updates of the actual ride next July.
If you’re able to help me in raising funds for this important charity, please click to donate.
