Darren's fundraiser for ECHO - Evelina Children's Heart Organisation

London Landmarks Half Marathon 2025 · 6 April 2025 ·
I’m running the half marathon for the 2nd time to help raise money for ECHO.
My son who is now 7 and thriving was born with a heart condition called Tetralogy of Fallot. He’s doing everything a 7 year should be doing. He plays in goal for his football team, attends goal keeping training and goes to beavers. He loves school and is very happy and healthy boy.
Joey sees his consultant once a year and they are very happy with his progress. We can never thank the Evelina enough for saving our son so I’m doing my bit, to help raise more money for this amazing hospital.
Here is a link if you wish to read up on the condition http://www.chfed.org.uk/how-we-help/information-service/heart-conditions/tetralogy-of-fallot-fallots-tetralogy/
Thank you
ECHO works with children and young people who receive treatment for heart conditions at Evelina London and the Royal Brompton Hospital in London, and their network of local hospitals. They’ll use the grant to continue providing emotional and practical support for families while their child is in hospital and are a crucial support network as their child grows up. This includes sending ECHO Care packs to families full of information about how they can keep in touch with the ECHO community and connect with other families.
