Story

Park View's Epic Virtual Walkathon Challenge!

WE ARE OFF TO SEE FATHER CHRISTMAS!

We've Made It to John o' Groats – But We're Not Stopping There!

We are absolutely thrilled to share that Park View Care Centre has reached our incredible milestone of 1,846,688 steps, completing our virtual walk from Land’s End to John o’ Groats!

What began as a fun and meaningful way to support the Salvation Army has become something far greater. Our residents, relatives, and staff have walked with purpose, pride, and passion. From pushing step counts to sharing laughter and stories along the way, this journey has united us. Some participants have even lost weight, built fitness, and found new motivation. More importantly, it has brought joy, connection, and a real sense of community spirit to Park View.

But here’s the most exciting part - we’ve decided not to stop.

Why? Because the spirit of giving and challenge is still alive, and our hearts are set on an even bigger adventure. So, lace up your boots and grab your scarves because we’re heading to the North Pole to visit Father Christmas!

That’s right, we’re turning our steps northward for a 2,100-mile journey, which means a whopping 4,725,000 steps. It’s a bold goal, but if we’ve learned anything from our walk so far, it’s that together, we can achieve extraordinary things.

Let’s keep walking, keep smiling, and keep raising money for the incredible work of the Salvation Army. Every step takes us closer to the North Pole and closer to making a difference.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us so far.

Now, let’s go see Santa!
