So it's my 50th year and I have challenged myself with a few activities and daftness. Many are fresh challenges, some though are doing things I used to do.

As a Somerset youngster I would frequently thumb a lift to town or wherever. You don't see hitchhiker's anymore so I am going to see how kind and accommodating total strangers will be when faced with a nearly 50yr old trying to get as far as possible in a day.

I have no plans and will simply go where the lift takes me.
