Story
Two years ago I attempted to cycle 1000 miles from Land's End to John o' Groats. I completed 600 miles before coming off my bike, and breaking my collarbone.
Undeterred (or just plain stupid) I am going to reattempt the challenge and complete the 1000 mile ride over 10 days starting on 4th September.
I was extremely grateful last time for all the support and encouragement given by many people and the kind and generous donations to charity.
This time I have decided to support the Scleroderma and Raynaud’s UK Charity (SRUK)
Scleroderma is a rare, chronic disease of the immune system, blood vessels and connective tissue. It is an autoimmune condition, meaning that the immune system becomes overactive and attacks healthy tissue within the body. Raynaud's (pronounced Ray-nodes) is a common condition that is estimated to affect up to 10 million people in the UK.
These conditions effect members of my family.
SRUK are a charity dedicated to empowering everyone affected by Scleroderma and Raynaud’s to live as full and unlimited a life as possible. Through research, awareness, information and support, to make a difference for anyone living with these conditions.
Thank you for your support.
