Capital One Lake District Triple 2024 · 5 July 2024

BRACE funds world-class clinical and laboratory research into dementia to find better treatments, achieve earlier diagnosis, and, one day, find a cure. We do this by funding PhD studentships, early-stage pilot projects, and the South West Dementia Brain Bank. Together we will defeat dementia.

Story

I’m doing the Capital One Lake District Triple Challenge to raise money for BRACE Dementia Research.

The challenge at Lake District consists of:

10km Hike up the Old Man of Coniston

12km Bike through the Grizedale Forest

1.5km Kayak around Coniston Water

Any donations will be greatly appreicated, no matter the amount, it's the thought that counts!

BRACE exists to defeat dementia.

Their aims are to help:

Provide the means by which medical science comes to understand what causes dementia in its various forms.

Achieve earlier diagnosis of dementia, thereby giving new treatments and knowledge of prevention more time to make a difference.

Find new and more powerful treatments.

Our area of benefit is the whole human race – anyone, anywhere who might one day develop dementia.

Together we will defeat dementia.
