Why I’m Running the Hackney Half for Terrence Higgins Trust
On 17 May 2026, I’ll be running the Hackney Half Marathon to raise money for Terrence Higgins Trust, the UK’s leading HIV charity.
This cause matters deeply to me because I believe everyone deserves to live free from stigma, fear and misinformation when it comes to HIV and sexual health. Too many people still face barriers to care, understanding and acceptance, and Terrence Higgins Trust plays a vital role in changing that by supporting people living with HIV and ensuring their voices are heard.
Every step I take in this marathon is a step towards a future where there are no new HIV cases in the UK by 2030. Your support helps fund essential services for people living with HIV, ensuring they receive the care, information and support they need to live healthy, confident lives.
Together, we can help create a world where:
People living with HIV are supported with dignity and respect
Everyone can access high quality, inclusive sexual and reproductive health services tailored to their individual needs
HIV and sexual health are free from shame, stigma and discrimination
I’m aiming to raise £350, and any donation, big or small, will make a real difference. Thank you so much for supporting me and helping to create a fairer, healthier future for all.
